Sontag Entrepreneurship Competition
LOGO DESIGN, MARKETING MATERIAL, SOCIAL MEDIA DESIGN
The Sontag Entrepreneurship Competition is hosted by the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno. Students from all majors can enter their business idea into the "competition" to learn to create a business plan, pitch to a panel of judges, receive mentorship, and potentially win $50,000 for their winning idea.
The Ozmen Center sought new logo and marketing materials for their competition to emphasize its inclusiveness in a modern way. Their previous logo had not been updated in some time, and they desired to reach a more varied demographic including more students from outside the business school, women, and minorities.
With this problem in mind, the logo solution had to be sleek and long-lasting, inclusive, and represent UNR in some way. With this in mind, the logo features three figures in place of the N in varying colors to emphasize diversity. Including multiple figures was also key to incorporating the idea of teamwork. The main letters are the Nevada blue while still maintaining a unique identity. The logo can be used in a variety of ways thanks to the unique iconography.
To go along with their new logo, I created marketing materials for print and on social media. The social media template includes a small pattern with entrepreneurial icons to make the matter more fun and appealing to college students.
